Passports

Guidance for citizens applying for a new Antigua & Barbuda passport, renewals, or replacements.

New and renewal applications

  • Passport applications must be lodged in person at the Passport Office on Queen Elizabeth Highway.
  • Submit the completed application form (adult or child), proof of citizenship, acceptable photographs, and supporting identification.
  • Standard processing takes approximately three weeks. Expedited service may be available for urgent travel.

Lost, stolen, or damaged passports

  • Report the loss immediately to the Passport Office and the police to prevent misuse.
  • Provide a police report, completed replacement form, and identification documents. Allow additional time for investigation (up to three months).

Passport types issued

  • Regular passports for adults and children.
  • Official and diplomatic passports issued through the relevant ministries.
  • Emergency travel documents for citizens stranded overseas.
