Where to apply

Applications for citizenship are lodged at the Passport Office on Queen Elizabeth Highway. Keep the receipt issued after submission.

What if I no longer have the passport showing my first arrival?: Request a letter confirming your arrival history from the Immigration Department. A research fee applies.
Does marriage to a citizen guarantee approval?: No. Applicants must complete the full process and satisfy all eligibility requirements.
When do I schedule the citizenship interview?: Contact the Immigration Department as soon as you receive your passport office receipt to book an interview date.

Passport office receipt and all passports used while resident in Antigua & Barbuda.
Passport bio-page copies and pages containing immigration stamps.
Police certificates (local and overseas where applicable).
Birth certificate, marriage certificate (if applicable), and other supporting civil documents.

Keep copies of all documents submitted and monitor communication from the Department for next steps.
